Council for Creativity and Innovation
The VMEA Council for Creativity and Innovation works to ensure contemporary/current evidence based research methods are made available to the VMEA membership through study, professional development, and practice in the areas of creativity and innovation. We believe creativity and innovative teaching practices should be inclusive in all music classrooms and curriculum. Creativity and innovation include, but are not limited to, the following ideas:
Providing new and diverse repertoire opportunities
Collaborative and interdisciplinary practices with other academic disciplines
Ensuring music creation is available to all students in a variety of mediums
